The farthest I’ve gotten with a juice cleanse is about 8 hours. Lame, I know, but I’ve resigned myself to the fact that juice is just a delicious breakfast and snack for me. There’s something about a glass of green juice that just revives. I love this blend for all of the bright herbs, refreshing cucumber, and a hint of sweetness from the apple. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
For one 8-ounce juice
2 kale leaves
1 small handful parsley
1 small handful spinach
1 small handful cilantro
3 mint sprigs
1 romaine leaf
1 cup chopped cucumber
1/2 apple
1 lime, juiced
DIRECTIONS
If using a juicer, combine similarly textured ingredients (all of the greens together, and then the cucumber and apple, for instance), and juice in small batches. If you don’t have a juicer, pop everything in the blender, add a few tablespoons of water (or replace the apple with cold pressed apple juice), and puree super thoroughly. Pour through a strainer. The juice is best enjoyed immediately!
