This is such a simple and delicious recipe for pork, chicken, or shrimp. The sweetness of the sweetened condensed milk and coconut milk is surprisingly subtle, and the earthy mustard-y flavor of turmeric is just lovely in it. Enjoy!
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 teaspoon cumin
1 pinch freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 pound pork or chicken, cut into 1 inch wide strips
Mix together the ingredients and marinate the meat in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or over night. Drain the meat and skewer with the bamboo skewers. Season with salt and pepper and then grill over medium high heat for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, until just cooked through. Serve hot.
