I’m trying to maintain healthy habits this year, but when you’re as in love with chocolate as I am, that can be a challenge. Especially if I tell myself I can’t have it. When that happens, obsession sets in. The world starts to look like a chocolate fairyland with chocolate roads with cacao gravel and white chocolate clouds dotting the sky. It’s a problem. So instead of making myself miserable, I decided to come up with a solution. A chocolate solution. 

I’ve partnered with Almond Breeze to share some of my favorite recipes with you, so I immediately thought of incorporating their Almondmilk Cashewmilk blend into a smoothie bowl recipe. The cashews give the milk an especially creamy and rich texture, the perfect base for my indulgent chocolate smoothie. The rest of it is pretty simple, but by using antioxidant and theobromine rich raw Cacao and vitamin rich maca I’m getting to enjoy my chocolate while maximizing the benefits. INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons powdered cacao

1/2 tablespoon maca powder

1 tablespoon coconut nectar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 frozen banana

1 1/2 cup Almond Breeze Almondmilk Cashewmilk Vanilla

TOPPINGS

goji berries

strawberries

crushed almonds

DIRECTIONS

Put everything in a blender and mix until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite fruits and nuts. Enjoy!
