I love crafts that require little talent, money, and time, (most of us are at a deficit of at least one of those) so these adorable crowns fit the bill for me entirely. Coming up with a DIY for a Mardi Gras Party with my friend Whitney wasn’t the easiest task.  Almost all them felt a bit lame (stringing your own bead necklaces? decorating masks?), so I resigned myself to not bothering with a DIY this time around.  But then I stumbled upon the idea of tinsel crowns, on where else? Pinterest. These were so cute and so easy I had to give them a try. Sitting on my couch, constantly battling my cat who I just discovered is a TINSEL MONSTER, I whipped up four crowns in under an hour.  They’re practically addicting, they’re so fun and satisfying! Then I realized these would be the perfect Mardi Gras DIY: a crown for the winner of the King Cake. So here you go: a DIY that is easy, cheap, and super freaking cute.  Enjoy!
