Everyone jokes that every family needs a lawyer and a doctor, but I’d like to add make up artist to that list. My cousin Erica is a fabulous professional makeup artist and the beauty blogger behind Pretty Pleased, her site featuring beauty tips and tricks, her insider advice. I thought she could bring a little of that beauty wisdom over to The Kitchy Kitchen, so she’ll be here blogging once a month. Stay tuned for all things pretty and lovely!
Natural and organic beauty products are becoming more and more available, which is amazing. Slowing transforming my routine by swapping out my traditional favorites for natural alternatives has been a process but I’ve rounded up a few of my faves.
Soap: I love all the scents that Dr. Bronner’s offers but this rose scented bar, has an amazing smell and makes a really great gift.
Deodorant: I did a test a while back where I swapped my beloved Dove for all natural versions and this one came out on top. It’s made with alum stone and keeps me fresh all day. No joke.
John Masters Organics Rose and Aloe Toning Mist: I typically use this as a midday pick me up and it offers great hydration and gives my skin an instant glow.
Mineral Fusion Perfecting Beauty Balm: This is a great natural BB cream that has a light tint to even skin tone.
Dr. Hauschka Volume Mascara in Aubergine: I love this mascara. It plumps and defines, and is one of the better natural mascaras I’ve tried. I also love the purple tint, which makes my green eyes really pop.
Burt’s Bees Lip Tint: I have a few of these that I leave in my purses and diaper bag for a quick wash of color that adds a ton of moisture to my naturally dry lips.
EcoTPacifica Enlighten Eye Brightening Shadow Palette: The super wearable colors in this palette are a perfect transition into spring and summer.
EcoTools Makeup bushes: These cruelty free and completely natural brushes are so soft and come in a handy travel case.
