GROWN UP GLITTER BY ERICA DAVIDSON

GROWN UP GLITTER // The Kitchy Kitchen

Everyone jokes that every family needs a lawyer and a doctor, but I’d like to add make up artist to that list. My cousin Erica is a fabulous professional makeup artist and the beauty blogger behind Pretty Pleased, her site featuring beauty tips and tricks, her insider advice. I thought she could bring a little of that beauty wisdom over to The Kitchy Kitchen, so she’ll be here blogging once a month. Stay tuned for all things pretty and lovely!

Glitter takes me back to those high school years where I used any excuse to sparkle. Nowadays, I tend to shelve it unless I’m going to a costume party (and then watch out!). But there are some grown up ways to don glitter and there’s no better time than the holidays.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Loose, fine glitter

Metallic eyeliner

Metallic Cream shadow

Flat Eyeshadow Brush

Berry lipstick

Tissues

Tape

DIRECTIONS

Swipe some of the metallic cream shadow along your lids up, past the brow bone.  Gently press the glitter onto the lid using your brush.  You can place a tissue underneath your eyes to catch any falling sparkles. Take the metallic pencil and draw along the bottom lid to add definition. Opt for black mascara or false lashes and pick up any loose flakes using some tape.
