I used to think an all white kitchen was the way to go. Clean, classic, modern, totally unobtrusive, and the perfect canvas for beautiful collections and dishes to shine against.  But, the more I came across rustic, moody, and modern uses for wood in a kitchen, my attitude shifted a bit.  In all of these inspirations, wood is used in a linear, super minimalist way, but because it’s a natural texture, it softens the otherwise spartan aesthetic.
