Everyone jokes that every family needs a lawyer and a doctor, but I’d like to add make up artist to that list. My cousin Erica is a fabulous professional makeup artist and the beauty blogger behind Pretty Pleased, her site featuring beauty tips and tricks, her insider advice. I thought she could bring a little of that beauty wisdom over to The Kitchy Kitchen, so she’ll be here blogging once a month. Stay tuned for all things pretty and lovely!
Airplane trips can really do a number on skin. The recycled oxygen dries it out, making it feel tight and irritated. There are a few things I always carry with me that make a huge difference in making me look and feel better while traveling. Skin gets stripped of all the goods so spritzing a moisturizing facial spray a few times during the flight helps bring some moisture back. (Just make sure it’s travel friendly and only 4 oz or less). Continually applying some lip balm, will keep them crack-free. Same goes for hand cream. If you’re like me, and don’t like leaving the house without at least some mascara, then your peepers will want a re-do. When the flight is near it’s end, wipe everything off with facial wipes and re-apply. Furry teeth after cups of ginger ale make brushing my teeth feel like a slice of heaven, so bring a travel toothbrush and toothpaste. Following these tips will help you feel more refreshed when you touch down at your destination. Bon Voyage!
