MOTHER’S DAY GIFT GUIDE

MOTHER'S DAY GIFT GUIDE // THE KITCHY KITCHEN

I’m going to miss being a mother on mother’s day this year by just a few months, but I’ve been thinking about what I would like if I were celebrating this year. “Some peace and quiet!” most likely, but a bit of luxury never hurt anyone. These are some of my favorite small luxuries that I feel like almost any woman would appreciate, ranging from under $20 to around $200. Happy Mother’s day!

The Now Massage

I looooooove massages. But, most spa experiences for me fall into two categories: super expensive luxurious spa with the bells and whistles or a hole in the wall foot spa. Enter The Now, which has the luxury of a full up spa experience but just ala carte massages, so the price point is amazing. The decor makes you feel like you’re in Tulum, and all of the details from the pink salt lamps to the Coqui Coqui oils make you feel like you’re somewhere truly special. They’re only in LA for now, so if you’re not local, I would say “fancy massage” is always a favorite for mother’s day.

Winc Wine Club

Mama loves her wine, and though I won’t be able to enjoy mimosas this year, I can definitely recommend my favorite wine club, Winc for your sparkling wine needs. The wines are delicious and affordable, and the packaging is always so beautiful. Make sure to sign up using the code “kitchykitchen” for a big discount!

Cambie Alpaca Throw

My friend in Toronto gave me one of these blankets and I’m obsessed! The alpaca thread is extremely soft and the color palette is muted and chic. A good throw is one of those things I feel like we would rarely buy for ourselves, but having a plethora of them around the house is always a good thing.

The Dry Bar

You guys know I’ve got a bit of a Dry Bar problem, so for me this is the perfect gift. I’m showing my dry shampoo bottle in the photo, because gift cards aren’t the most interesting to shoot, but a gift certificate for a blow out is such a lovely, practical idea.

Ten Over Ten

This fabulous nail salon has started opening locations in LA, so I’ve gotten to enjoy a manicure there myself, but what first drew me to Ten Over Ten was their wonderful nail polish. It’s 8-free and cruelty free, making it one of the more non-toxic nail polishes available, and the color palette is gorgeous. I love Madison, a soft ballet pink. It’s just pink enough and sheer enough to work as a “nude plus” for my nails.
