WHITNEY’S MONTHLY WINE PICK: ALWAYS UNDER $15, AND ALWAYS DELICIOUS

Choosing a wine can be an intimidating task for the uninitiated, but any seasoned wine drinker knows that good wine doesn’t always mean expensive wine. That’s where Whitney comes in.  She’s here to help you pick a delicious bottle at an even more delicious price.

If you don’t already know her, I’d like to introduce all of you to my dear friend, Whitney Adams, a fabulous sommelier living in Los Angeles.  Check her out her hilarious and amazing videos here!

WHITNEY’S APRIL PICK:

2014 Lucchetti Lacrima di Morro d’Alba

$14.99, Domaine LA

Springtime! It’s all about getting outside again, enjoying the fresh air, and taking time to stop and smell the roses (which should be blooming!). This lighter-bodied red from the Marche region of Italy is a bouquet in a glass – super floral, full of rose petal and lilac, but not in a manufactured way. Nobody wants to drink perfume. Think fresh and vibrant, mineral driven, with wild and delicate berry fruit. A lovely pairing to salty, savory dishes like herb-crusted porchetta or Claire’s cavatelli with fennel sausage!
