WHITNEY’S MONTHLY WINE PICK: ALWAYS UNDER $15, AND ALWAYS DELICIOUS

Choosing a wine can be an intimidating task for the uninitiated, but any seasoned wine drinker knows that good wine doesn’t always mean expensive wine. That’s where Whitney comes in.  She’s here to help you pick a delicious bottle at an even more delicious price.

If you don’t already know her, I’d like to introduce all of you to my dear friend, Whitney Adams.  A fabulous sommelier living in Los Angeles, she just launched her wine accessories brand and online shop, Bottle Stock, and blogs about wine and other drinking adventures at Whitney A.  We make silly videos together and she’s basically the best.

WHITNEY’S FEBRUARY PICK:

NV Provenza Spumante Rosato ‘Turbian’

Lombardy, Italy

$15, Domaine LA

It’s February, which means one thing to a lot of you lovers out there – Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re celebrating with friends or more than friends, or just with your hot self, you deserve something fun and flirty in your glass. Even though the bottle is a wee bit gaudy IMHO, the juice inside is so very good. It’s fruity but bone dry, refreshing and gulp-able. The beautifully pink and fizzy wine is a blend of two red grapes, Gropello and Marzemino, from Northern Italy’s Lombardy region (home to George Clooney’s house 😉
