Now that I’m a mom to a teething one-year old, I can’t begin to tell you what sleep means to me. My husband and I talk about sleep the way we used to talk about food or travel – it’s a fantasy we look forward to and plan for. And if James sleeps through the night or makes it past 8 am – oh man – that is the big news around the breakfast table as Craig and I stumble to the coffee maker.
So imagine my delight when I partnered with Saatva for the mattresses in my weekend Cabin, and for the master bedroom in my new home. Craig and I will be getting the best night sleep wherever our family stays.
For the cabin master bedroom and our new home, we started with a Saatva Classic innerspring mattress. Not only does this mattress hug you in a cloud-like sleep, there’s a firm support underneath it all. So instead of feeling like you’re sinking into your bed, you feel like you’re floating. After giving birth to James I’ve struggled with my arms falling asleep before I do, and with this mattress that feeling has gone away. It’s about the details with this mattress. Individually wrapped coils respond and contour to every body shape while lumbar support comes from a high quality memory foam layer, providing additional pressure relief while helping reduce stress and tension from the lower back (an answer to my constantly tight and sore Husband’s prayers!). All Saatva’s luxury mattresses are built with a tempered steel support lower coil base, creating a long lasting, sustainable mattress with increased durability and is the best design to prevent sagging. The euro pillow top is incredibly luxurious and soft while their Guardin® botanical antimicrobial fabric treatment inhibits bacteria to prolong the life of the organic cotton fabric. I might be making the trip up the mountain just to sleep on this mattress.
For the kid’s room in the cabin, we used Saatva’s memory foam line, Loom & Leaf. Not only are they super supportive, but they’re cooling as well – which is perfect for my son who inherited his dad’s furnace-like sleeping temperature. The Loom & Leaf memory foam is made wit breathable, organic cotton covering and natural thistle flame retardant keep you comfortable, cool and safe. Their proprietary Spinal Zone Gel layer is created with cooling gel so you stay cool with optimal spinal support. The dual layer eco-friendly support foam with breathable airflow channels provides a cool, supportive night’s sleep.
In the other guest room, where my parents will stay for big family weekends, we went with the Saatva Classic innerspring mattress on the Lineal adjustable base. My parent’s slept on a Japanese futon for most of my childhood, so I know they love a firm, supportive mattress. The Lineal base is perfect for my mom, who loves to do her morning reading from bed, and can now raise her angle at the push of a button.
We are so excited to be getting the best sleep our family has ever had. Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time for a nap.
